Good news to homeowners who are looking for alternative sources of energy: available federal tax credit of 30% of the total solar power cost with no upper limit for both new construction projects and existing homes whether they are principal or secondary residences. Unfortunately, rentals are not qualified for this incentive. The federal tax credit for solar power expires December 31, 2016.

PA Sunshine Solar Program (This Program Ends December 31, 2013)
The Pennsylvania Sunshine Solar Program is a local program designed to offer $100 million in rebates for the funding of solar electric systems (PV or solar photovoltaic) and solar thermal (solar hot water) projects for homes and small businesses in Pennsylvania.
Important Notice: The amount of incentive provided for both photovoltaic and thermal applications shall decline at a pre-established rate as the industry develops. Please click here to view the rate schedules.
Keystone HELP
Most Pennsylvania residences who are eligible for the Keystone HELP (Home Energy Loan Program) can apply for a low-cost loan for high-efficiency and ENERGY STAR rated air conditioning, insulation, heating, air sealing, doors, windows, and geothermal systems. They are also qualified to get a comprehensive home improvement project using Home Performance with ENERGY STAR®. The discounted rates will help homeowners save thousands of dollars, while the home improvement package can help reduce expenses.

New Jersey Clean Energy Program
New Jersey's Clean Energy Program is a statewide program that offers financial incentives, programs and services for New Jersey residents, business owners and local governments to help them save energy, money and the environment.
The WARMAdvantage Program provides rebates towards the purchase of qualifying solar hot water systems. To be eligible, you must purchase, install and operate a system that meets all applicable efficiency requirements.
