Energy Works Program
The Energy Works is a new program designed to help Pennsylvania homeowners, including those in the Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware and Chester counties save money and energy. This program is carefully crafted to reduce health and safety problems, increase comfort, and bring real energy-savings to homeowners.
To achieve the goals of the program, a Building Performance Institute (BPI) certified Building Analyst will do an energy assessment of your residence, and help you in determining and finding opportunities and areas where you can save on utility costs. A written report will be given which summarizes all recommendations. If you will spend at least $1,000 on improving the energy-efficiency of your home, you are entitled to receive a $300 rebate.
Keystone HELP
Eligible Pennsylvania homeowners can take advantage of the Keystone HELP (Home Energy Loan Program) to obtain a low-cost loan for high-efficiency, ENERGY STAR rated systems such as air conditioners, heating and air sealing systems, insulation, windows, doors, and geothermal equipment. They can also take advantage of programs for whole house improvements using Home Performance with Energy Star. Through reduced prices and savings from the home improvement programs, building owners can minimize out-of-pocket costs.
