Building owners may find it great to know that there is a federal tax credit of up to 30% of the total cost with no upper limit. Those who qualify for this federal incentive include newly constructed buildings and existing homes- both principal and secondary homes. Unfortunately, rentals do not qualify for the incentive. This incentive expires on December 31, 2016.

Pennsylvania homeowners who are qualified for the Keystone HELP (Home Energy Loan Program) can get a low-cost loan for various ENERGY STAR rated air conditioning, air sealing, heating, insulation, and geothermal systems. They are also eligible to get loans for high-efficiency doors, windows and other “whole house” solutions through Home Performance with ENERGY STAR. This program can help homeowners save thousands of dollars over the life of loan. With lower rates and savings coming from home improvements done, consumers can reduce unwanted out-of-pocket costs.

New Jersey's Clean Energy Program is a statewide program that offers financial incentives, programs and services for New Jersey residents, business owners and local governments to help them save energy, money and the environment.
The COOLAdvantage Program provides rebates towards the purchase of qualifying high efficiency heat pumps. To be eligible, you must purchase, install and operate a system that meets all applicable efficiency requirements.
